Audio not playing? Check the silent switch and volume; all audio is bundled on-device.
Microphone prompt? Yowatari only uses the mic for pronunciation practice. Denying it disables scored speaking but everything else keeps working.
Deleted the app by accident? Progress is stored on-device; restoring from a device backup restores your progress.

Yowatari is designed to collect nothing.

No data collection. The app has no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no network access for data collection. All lessons, audio, and progress live entirely on your device.
No accounts. No sign-up, no email, no identifiers of any kind.
Microphone & speech recognition. Used only during pronunciation practice, only while you are practicing. Audio is processed to score your speech and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted by the app. Speech recognition runs on-device via Apple's Speech framework; see also Apple's own privacy terms for system services.
Sales & payments. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The developer never sees your payment details.
Children. The app contains no chat, no user-generated content sharing, and no external links, making it safe for all ages (rated 4+).
